Mr. Adam Johnson, Principal Active Academies
I am honored to serve as Principal of Active Academies, bringing almost two decades of experience in public education within the Cherokee County School District. I’ve had the privilege of serving as an assistant principal, teacher, paraprofessional, and coach, and I am deeply committed to fostering a high-achieving, student-centered learning environment where every student is challenged, supported, and inspired to excel.
With advanced degrees in Instructional Technology and Teacher Leadership, I am passionate about integrating innovative instructional practices with data-informed decision-making to elevate academic outcomes. As principal, I am focused on ensuring alignment of school goals with district priorities, promoting academic ownership among students, and cultivating a school culture grounded in trust. I’m proud to lead the Active campus and am committed to partnering with the community to continue the school’s tradition of success.
I have two children who attend schools in Cherokee County—an 11-year-old daughter and a 10-year-old son—and my wife also serves as a substitute teacher in the district. Our entire family is proud to be part of and committed to public education in Cherokee County.
