CCSD Students Selected for Prestigious Art Show

Seven Cherokee County School District high school artists have been selected to display their artwork at a prestigious show!

The Atlanta High School Art Exhibition, part of the annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival in Piedmont Park, is a competitive juried art show that receives hundreds of submissions from high school artists statewide.  This year’s exhibit is from April 10 to 12 and more info is online at https://ahsae.info/.  Congratulations to our students and their art teachers!  Our School Board is laser focused on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else.  

Congratulations to: of Cherokee High School, Hailey Becker for “Hotel Ritter” and Grace Dai for “Jai,” their art teacher is Morgan Clifton; of Creekview HS, Julia Eltarawy for “Ruffles in Bloom” and Nick Purcell for “Glass Garden,” their art teacher is Leslie Babcock; of Etowah HS, Liv Powell for “Kaleidoscope,” her art teacher is Shannah Dean; and of Sequoyah HS, Alexandra Proano Bravomalo for “Anatomy Study” and Law Soe for “Sea Horse Scrimshaw,” their art teacher is Kellie Fallon.
