How do you help students achieve excellence and reach their full potential?

As a school counselor, I empower my students to unlock their full potential by providing personalized support, meeting students where they are, and equipping them with effective coping strategies. I help my students foster resilience, cultivate healthy relationships, and develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success.

What is something you have implemented that has enhanced the school culture?

This year I have implemented quarterly lunch and learn sessions on a variety of topics, including self-care, study skills, and healthy relationships. These sessions have allowed for meaningful connections and conversations between groups of students who may not typically converse or eat lunch together. Creating an open dialogue about challenges that students are facing has brought camaraderie and positive energy to our student body.

What words of advice would you like to share with our parents?

During your student's high school journey, give them a supportive space to take on new responsibilities, make mistakes, and take ownership of their experience.
