Woodstock MS Student Wins Regional Essay Contest

A Cherokee County School District student is a regional essay contest winner!

Woodstock Middle School seventh-grader Eden Amosa is the Cherokee County winner and the regional runner-up for the Metropolitan North Georgia Water Planning District’s 24th annual essay contest open to all metro Atlanta middle schoolers.  Congratulations to Eden and her teachers and thank you to our School Board for its laser focus on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

Eden’s essay is posted online here.  Her English language arts teacher is Lacy Caplan.  Eden will be recognized at the regional awards ceremony at the State Capitol.  The Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools Mary Elizabeth Davis will recognize Eden and Ms. Caplan at an upcoming School Board meeting.
